WERQ is a fun, energetic and easy-to-learn cardio dance class set to pop and hip hop music. The workout is nonstop with repetitive athletic moves and easy-to-learn dance steps. Each week a few new routines will be added so that you continue to challenge yourself and build your rhythm!

Israeli Dance:

7:30 p.m.: Intermediate/All Levels: 8:30-9:30 p.m. Suggested donation: $3-5.

Beginner: Learn circle, partner and line dances in a welcoming and social environment! We'll cover the basic steps and do a mix of dances every week -- the more you come, the more dances you'll know. Very beginner friendly; NO Israeli dance (or other dance) experience needed!

Intermediate/All Levels: Take on more challenging dances, and request to dance your favorites! This will be especially fun for people with some dance experience, but can truly be enjoyed by all levels. There is no pressure to dance throughout the evening - taking breaks to eat snacks (provided) and enjoy time with friends is encouraged. Includes circle, line and partner dances (though no partner is necessary!).

Cultural Dance

Scottish Country Dancers

Sunday, 7-9 p.m. Drop-In. Suggested Donation: $3-5.

No kilt necessary! Learn and dance the traditional reels, jigs, and strathspeys of Scotland in a fun, social setting. All ages are welcome and no prior dance experience is needed. Basic instruction begins at 7, and as the evening progresses so does the difficulty, so plan to come early if you are a beginner. You don’t have to have a partner to dance! Wear socks or soft-soled shoes.

English Country Dance

Monday, (1st, 3rd, 5th), 7-9 p.m. Drop-In. Suggested Donation: $2.

Learn and dance the traditional dances of 17th and 18th century England! These social dances are performed with partners and in groups. Some dances are serene, and others are quite lively! No partner is required as dance partners will change throughout the evening. Dances are taught during the first hour; requested dances are called or taught during the second hour.

Stepping On:

Returning January 2019
$35/7 Sessions

Have you fallen or are you limiting your activities because you’re afraid you might fall? Interested in improving your balance to prevent a future fall? It’s never too  early to start!

Stepping On classes meet once per week for seven weeks, two hours per week, with a reunion class three months later. The class is led by a team of health care providers (physical therapist, nurse, pharmacist, occupational therapist) who work with you and your classmates to improve your balance and reduce your risk of falling by reviewing your medications, providing a vision screening, teaching strength and balance exercises, and offering help to improve your safety at home. Members of the group support each other’s efforts to take action to prevent falls. Older adults who may have balance problems or fear of falling are the best fit for this class. According to studies, people who complete Stepping On classes see a 35% reduction in falls.
